Join us for a fun afternoon of music with The Rangers! Now called Plavci, this legendary Czech band was created in 1964 and co-founded the modern country and folk music scene in the Czech Republic.

The band has become one of the most successful bands in the history of Czech country and pop music, and they have played for audiences worldwide. In 1998, Plavci reached the milestones of 2.5 million sold albums and 7,000 concerts performed.

In 2005, original lead vocalist of the band Jan Vančura returned to the acoustic sound. He continues to tour with excellent musicians, including accordionist Mário Bihári (founding member of KOA) and guitarist Jakub Racek (founding member of Monogram, and recipient of several European awards).

The repertoire includes American country music classics, such as Sloop John B. (Zvedněte kotvy), Cotton Fields (Pole s bavlnou), Green, Green (Vím, vím), Five Hundred Miles (500 mil), Blue Moon of Kentucky (Modrý měsíc) and King of the Road (Král silnic) as well as original songs known to most everyone in the Czech Republic, such as Vysočina, Teče voda, Ženění, Ženění, Pes suverén, Krajina oblých kopců, Inženýrská, and Trpasličí svatba.
