Twin Cities area author Marjorie Mathison Hance will read from and discuss her book, Murder at Pelican Lake, at 7pm Monday, October 14 in CSPS Hall C Space. Hance is an alumna of St. Catherine University in St. Paul and earned her master’s degree in higher education from Indiana University. Prior to beginning her writing career, she worked for the University of Minnesota, Honeywell, and St. Catherine where she taught and served as Vice President for External Relations.
The central character in Murder at Pelican Lake is Carley who loses her high-profile job and her partner in the span of a few short months. She returns to the place that feels most like home – her childhood cabin on Pelican Lake, Minnesota. But when a teenager is abducted, it becomes clear that her once-sleepy vacation community has its share of secrets. As her cabin becomes the epicenter of an investigation, Carley must question the neighbors she knows and trusts. Will she uncover the shocking truth before things turn deadly?
This event is free and open to the public. A book signing will be held in the bookstore immediately following the event.
