Rawlicious, Red Ball Printing, Corner Store Apothecary, and M2M Mobile all gave their presentations to a panel local of judges.
The Czech Village/New Bohemia Main Street District held this local contest to choose which business will represent their program at the state level. To compete, businesses must be located, or intend to be located within the CVNB Main Street District. Businesses were required to complete an application and selected to make approximately a 5 minute “sales pitch” about their business to a panel of judges. At the semi-final state level, 12 finalist will be selected to pitch a five minute video on June 15th, via Skype. Five finalist will each receive $8,000 and a chance to compete for additional funds toward their business plan – up to $20,000! Businesses must provide a 25% match to any awards received. The contest is designed to help provide financial and technical support for businesses that improve Iowa’s Main Street districts. Sustainable businesses that will grow and thrive within the Main Street districts across the state are the desired outcome!

The results were announced after all four pitches were completed. Red Ball Printing won the $500 prize, with advancement to the state application round. Rawlicious won the 2nd Place award and will recieve a $250 prize. Prize awards made possible by generous contributions from Guaranty Bank & Trust and Robert Becker.
